- Account Information: Email address, full name, and password when you create an account.
- Child Information: Child's name, date of birth, and gender, as provided by the daycare administrator.
- Updates & Media: Notes, photos, and videos posted by daycare staff about children's daily activities.
- Messages: Text messages exchanged between parents and daycare staff through the App.
- Notification Information: A device push token when you enable push notifications.
We do not collect location data, device identifiers for advertising, or any information from children directly. All data is entered by authorized adults (parents or daycare administrators).
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information solely for the following purposes:
- Authenticating users and managing accounts
- Allowing daycare staff to share daily updates with authorized parents
- Enabling direct messaging between parents and daycare staff
- Delivering requested notifications about new updates and messages
- Managing child enrollment and parent-child relationships
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud platform with enterprise-grade security, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring parents can only access data for their own children
- Private storage buckets with signed, time-limited URLs for photos and videos
- Secure password hashing for user accounts
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
We take children's privacy very seriously:
- The App does not collect information directly from children.
- All child-related data is entered by authorized daycare staff or parents.
- Photos and videos of children are stored in private buckets and are only accessible to linked parents and daycare administrators.
- Parents can request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting the daycare.
6. Data Sharing
We only share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Between authorized users: Updates and photos are shared between daycare staff and the specific parents linked to each child.
- Service providers: We use Supabase for data storage and authentication and Expo's notification service to deliver push notifications. These providers process data only to operate the App on our behalf.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of children.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:
- When a child is removed from the daycare, their updates, photos, and messages may be deleted.
- Photos and older data may be automatically cleaned up to manage storage limits.
- You can request complete deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and your child
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data — use the Account Deletion Request Form
- Withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing use of the App
